A live-action adaptation of Jun'ichirō Tanizaki's masterpiece "Shōshō Shigemoto no Haha (Captain Shigemoto's Mother)". Set in the glorious Heian Dynasty, the TV movie decipts the story of a mother and son torn apart for an irrational reason, and how they are reunited 40 years later.

Isobel and Nikolaus meet their new neighbors, Hevn and Miley, who become more and more curious. As two old friends come back and Hevn and Miley true identities are revealed, the life of Isobel and Nikolaus fall into a state of horror. Time is running out: the couple needs to accept their destiny, and prepare to a decisive fight.
